An average college education costs $22,826 annually for a public education and a private education averaged to $44,750 a year.

For the Class of 2013, 69% of students had an average debt of $29,400.

66% of graduates from public colleges have obtained debt.

75 % of graduates from private nonprofit colleges have obtained debt.

88 % of graduates from for-profit colleges have obtained debt.

At public colleges, average debt was $25,550.

At private nonprofit colleges, average debt was $32,300.

At for-profit colleges, average debt was $39, 950.

About 20 % of graduates’ debt was comprised of private loans.

In 2012, 44 % of college graduates were working in jobs that did not require a college degree. College graduates that were earning below $25,000 consisted about more than 20 %.

About 50% of college faculty are on non-tenure tracks. Of this 50 %, the part time faculty is 38 %. Non-tenure track full time faculty is 20 %.
